TINAS EP. 2 PREVIEW

Here is a short preview of THIS IS NOT A SHOW: EP 2. The artwork is a series of watercolor paintings that my good friend, Reuben Negron made.

In addition, I shot the music video for Wyclef today. I will upload pictures/videos sometime over the week.

Wyclef for President

So found out yesterday I'd be apart of a crew shooting Wyclef Jean's new music video for a remixed version of "President".

One sequence of the video will be Wyclef performing at the Homecoming Concert on February 15th at 8:00pm in War Memorial Gym. In case anyone is interested in checking it out.

Quick update. USA Today's Scott Bowles has put up an article about the milkshake catchphrase where I am mentioned and interviewed. Supposedly P.T. Anderson is quoted saying "I love the youtube video. It's completely insane and hilarious."

Also, Hollywood Elsewhere's Jeffrey Wells has also put up another post about the line and video.

Coppola Strikes Back

Awhile back I did an interview with Francis Ford Coppola about his latest film Youth Without Youth. The San Francisco Foghorn has published the interview along with my review of the film. You can check it out right here.

Next up I will be interviewing George A. Romero about his 5th installment in the living dead series entitled Diary of the Dead.

2008: A Soundwave Odyssey

So after 6 months of production work starting way back at the end of my senior year I have finished the music video for Dylan Connor's "Soundwave Surfer". Due to the fact I am having an exceptionally good day, I decided to upload some early production drawings.

Here is another music video for Dylan Connor's "Plug In". This was mainly shot and edited in the span of a few hours.

Check out Dylan's website if you're interested in hearing more great music!

Remix Culture

Yesterday New York's "Vulture" column quoted Grub Street's Josh Ozersky as saying that Daniel Day Lewis's "I drink your milkshake!" line from There Will Be Blood (i.e., spoken in the final bowling-alley scene) "will soon enter the pop-culture catchphrase lexicon, nestling alongside such former lazy-writer tropes as 'I see dead people,' 'Say hello to my little friend,' 'Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in' and all the rest."

Here is my contribution to the line.

Winter Slumberings

This is not a diary of my life. Nor is it a political rant about the direction of our society. This blog is simply an outlet for advice and criticism. Tell me what you like or dislike about my videos. What works and what doesn't?

Currently I've been some what busy editing together two separate projects:

1) Music video for Dylan Connor's "Soundwave Surfer"
I've been working on this project with Dylan since July and we are just about done with the final cut. Here is what we have so far but I am still planning to edit in more drums and bass this weekend:

2) Semper Fi - A short film about the last twenty four hours before a teenager ships out for marines basic training. I started drafting the script and storyboarding in December of 2006 while staying a weekend with some friends in a cabin in upstate New York. Here is a teaser for the film:
